Notices of new value have been mailed to all property owners. The assessor is required to use sales up to January 1, 2023 to update all property assessments in the town. The last market update was completed in 2019. Since then the market has increased. The average residential increase in value is about 41%. A primary concern of most property owners is the new assessment will increase their taxes the same amount. A change in your assessment does not equate the same change in your taxes.
