Notice - Road Construction on Highway 78 to begin on August 10th -

Please Note that the Town Hall will be accessible during construction

  • Project scope: Resurfacing and guardrail improvements
  • Project limits: WIS 78 between the intersection with County DL and the I-
    39/90/94 interchange in Columbia County.
  • Scheduled start date: Monday, August 10, 2020
  • During construction, through traffic on WIS 78 will be detoured via WIS 113 and
    WIS 33.
  • Access to local residences on WIS 78 will be maintained during construction.
  • Anticipated completion date: early October 2020, weather-permitting.

    Polling hours: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Polling location: Caledonia Town Hall, N5479 Beich Rd, Portage WI

Voter Registration Deadlines:

  • October 14, 2020 - The deadline to register to vote online (by 11:59pm) or by-
    mail (postmarked).

  • October 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. - The deadline to register to vote at your clerk's office
    or other designated location. Office hours are Mondays from 1pm-5pm, Fridays
    9am-11am. Call Clerk Stephanie Brensike for an appointment (608) 617-4154.

  • You can register at your polling place on Election Day (November 3, 2020)

Absentee By-Mail Deadlines:

  • October 29, 2020 at 5 p.m. - The deadline to request an absentee ballot by-mail
    for regular and overseas voters.

  • October 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. - The deadline to request an absentee ballot by-mail
    for indefinitely confined voters and military voters (not on active duty).

In-Person Absentee:

  • Tuesday, October 20th- Sunday, November 1st by appointment between the
    hours of 9am-6pm. Photo ID is required. Call Clerk Stephanie Brensike (608) 617-

In the State of Wisconsin, you must show an acceptable photo ID- such as a
Wisconsin driver license, U.S. passport, military ID, or a free Wisconsin state
ID card- before casting a ballot in any election. Voters who choose to vote
absentee, by mail or in-person, also must provide photo ID. If you have
