Help Map Rural Broadband Speeds - Take Part in a Voluntary Internet Speed Test
Governor Evers has created a Task Force on Broadband Access and as part of that, the Wisconsin Department of Instruction is asking for help to better collect information on internet speeds throughout the state.
In partnership with Measurement Lab, the DPI invites ALL residents and businesses to test their home internet speeds using M-Lab’s speed test. Data produced by the test provides broadband planning groups additional information to target improvements where internet performance is poor.
Please consider taking a moment of your day to assist in this project, by visiting the following website and performing an internet ‘speed test’ - https://speed.measurementlab.net/#/
Participation in measuring internet speed throughout Columbia Co. and WI is completely voluntary, and performing this simple test will help to paint a more accurate picture of the state’s actual broadband connectivity network. - Thank you.
